Connected Accounts
The Connected Accounts settings page stores your chess platform usernames and your display name. None of this information is sent anywhere — it is stored entirely on your machine.
Accessing the settings
Section titled “Accessing the settings”Go to Settings from the left sidebar, then select Connected Accounts.
Chess.com username
Section titled “Chess.com username”Enter your chess.com username. When set, Masterboard pre-fills the username field in the Import dialog’s Chess.com tab, so you do not have to type it each time.
Lichess username
Section titled “Lichess username”Enter your Lichess username. Same behaviour — pre-fills the Lichess import username field.
Your name
Section titled “Your name”Enter your name as it appears in PGN headers for your games (e.g. “Smith, John” or “John Smith”).
Masterboard uses this to:
- Identify your games automatically in analysis displays, so accuracy percentages are attributed to the correct player.
- Personal game detection across stats and review features (planned).
Matching is case-insensitive. If your name varies across sources (e.g. “Smith,J” vs “John Smith”), you can use the most common form — exact matching for all variants is planned.
Making changes
Section titled “Making changes”Changes take effect immediately. No restart is required.
